CompSign combines ADA-compliant tactile signage with changeable subsurface elements in a highly cohesive, attractive design. Each sign category (identification, warning/informational, directional and orientation) relates visually by use of common colors, materials, formats and typography to easily lead users through your facility.

Construction

CompSign components employ a “sandwich” design that is comprised of two basic elements. A non-glare 1/16” acrylic faceplate is bonded to a 1/8” thick acrylic backer with 1/32” foam tape across the bottom and sides of sign. The faceplate is reverse printed with a border design to conceal foam tape while the backer receives the background color and applied vinyl graphics. The open top of the completed sign enables insertion of a lexan insert. This capability allows the sign to accommodate changes to message content or color.

Tactile categories include precision cut acrylic graphics that are chemically bonded to the faceplate. Braille is applied with acrylic rasters friction-fit into cavities drilled into the sign face. CompSign Series signs are available with standard square corners or optional arched top.
